AQUASEF Presentation in PTEPA'S Aquaculture Working Group Meeting

Last October 10th, the aquaculture working group of the Spanish Technology Platform for Fisheries and Aquaculture organized the thematic meeting "sustainable water use in aquaculture" in Madrid, with the aim of sharing technological lines and exploring ways of cooperation for the implementation of R & D projects related to the optimization of the use and management of water resources in the aquaculture sector.

The meeting, which was attended by 26 participants representatives from Public Administration, industry associations, research centers, as well as producers or enterprises specialized in innovative technologies with application in the aquaculture sector, was organized with the support and collaboration of the working group of treatment and purification of the Spanish water technology Platform, making it the ideal meeting point for exploring new avenues of collaboration with entities of great technological capacity from the water sector.

Within this framework, AQUASEF project, "Environmental improvement of aquaculture through the development of eco-efficient technologies", was presented by ARIEMA Energía y Mediombiente SL personnel, which specifically detailed the technologies of oxygen self-production from water through the development of a electrolysis prototype, powered by renewable energy sources for hydrogen and oxygen generation through the decomposition of water molecule.
